Motorola has introduced a new addition to its mid-range lineup — the Moto G100, a smartphone designed to deliver long battery life, solid performance, and up-to-date software at an affordable price. Officially launched in China under Lenovo’s management, the device combines modern hardware with practical features that appeal to users seeking strong everyday reliability.
One of the Moto G100’s standout characteristics is its 7,000 mAh battery, which promises exceptional endurance, comfortably lasting more than a full day of heavy use. The phone supports 30W fast charging, allowing users to refill the battery quickly despite its large capacity. Out of the box, it runs Android 15, ensuring access to Google’s latest security patches and performance improvements.
Design and Display
Visually, the Moto G100 follows Motorola’s established design language, featuring a slightly raised rectangular camera module on the back and IP64 protection against dust and splashes. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor, integrated into the power button, adds convenience and keeps the back of the phone clean and uncluttered.
On the front, it sports a 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (2400 × 1080) and a 120 Hz refresh rate, offering sharp visuals and smooth motion. While it doesn’t use OLED technology, the high refresh rate delivers fluid animations and an enjoyable experience for gaming or scrolling.
Performance and Connectivity
Powering the Moto G100 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, a capable mid-range chip that balances performance with efficiency. The device includes 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage as standard, making it suitable for multitasking and storing large photo or video libraries.
Connectivity options are extensive, including 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC for mobile payments, and even a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which remains a welcome feature for many users.
Camera System
The rear camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor for detailed shots and an 8 MP ultrawide lens with a 118-degree field of view. On the front, a 32 MP camera handles selfies and video calls, housed within a discreet punch-hole cutout.
Availability and Price
The Moto G100 is now on sale in China in green, blue, and black, priced at 1,399 yuan (around $190 USD).
Interestingly, Motorola previously released a different model under the same name in 2021 for Western markets. However, this 2025 version introduces a completely new design, updated hardware, and a stronger focus on endurance — marking a fresh chapter for the Moto G series.
