reMarkable, the Norwegian company known for its paper tablets, has announced the launch of the reMarkable Paper Pro Move, a compact 7.3-inch digital notebook designed for professionals who work on the go. The device aims to deliver the same distraction-free writing experience as the company’s previous models, but in a smaller format that fits into a bag or jacket pocket.

The Paper Pro Move addresses limitations of traditional tools used for note-taking outside the office. Paper can be disorganized and easily lost, laptops are often bulky for impromptu use, and smartphones can be distracting. reMarkable’s new device seeks to combine portability with focus, offering a digital tool that feels natural to use in professional and collaborative settings.

According to CEO Phil Hess, the Paper Pro Move is designed to be large enough to support meaningful work while remaining unobtrusive in conversations and meetings. The device integrates into a typical workday: users can review documents via the desktop app at home, then rely on the portable tablet for note-taking and idea capture throughout the day. Notes are encrypted and securely stored both on the device and in the cloud.

The tablet’s hardware emphasizes portability and usability. It features a 7.3-inch Canvas Color display with digital ink that responds instantly to reMarkable’s custom Markers, simulating the feel of pen on paper. The display reflects natural light, reducing eye strain, and includes an adjustable reading light for low-light environments. Its compact design, anodized aluminum frame, and textured glass make it suitable for professional use. Battery life extends up to two weeks, with fast charging providing three days of power in ten minutes. Sustainability has also been prioritized, with over 50% of the materials sourced from recycled metals.

On the software side, Paper Pro Move supports built-in templates such as grids and planners, along with automatic rotation for landscape note-taking. Handwriting can be converted to text and emailed directly from the device. The optional Connect subscription ($2.99/month after a 100-day trial) offers additional templates, unlimited cloud storage, handwriting search, and the ability to access and edit notes across reMarkable apps.

The reMarkable Paper Pro Move is available now through the company’s website and select partners, priced at $449 with Marker or $499 with Marker Plus. Accessories like Book Folios are available at discounted bundle prices. The new device will be sold alongside existing products, including the reMarkable 2 and reMarkable Paper Pro.
