Maple Pecan Pie is a wonderful pie you can enjoy anytime! This recipe is a little different from the traditional pecan pie since it’s made with maple syrup, but once you try this version, you will never go back!

Why You’ll Love This Maple Pecan Pie
This pecan pie is made with maple syrup and we think you will love it as much as we do! It’s just as easy to make as the original but the maple syrup adds a great flavor with the pecans. I posted this recently and someone commented they had never had pecan pie with ice cream.. I was shocked! If you are on of those people you must try a nice warm slice of pecan pie topped with ice cream! It’s the real deal. Swaps and Additions
There really aren’t a lot of swaps for this recipe, but you could switch out the vanilla extract for maple or butter extract. Someone commented they used Khalua in place of the vanilla extract. You could also add rum or bourbon to this pie if you like.

Tip
Always make sure your pecans are fresh, as stale pecans will affect the taste of the pie. Let pie cool completely before slicing, so it has time to set up. Although I do like my pie a little warm if served with ice cream, I let it cool and then just heat up a slice in the microwave.
Questions
If your pie is runny, it wasn’t cooked long enough; all ovens vary. Also, this pie will set up once it is out of the oven, so we let it cool before serving. We don’t prebake our crust, and it has always worked out just fine, but if you want to prebake it, then do so.
